The original carbon intake kit since 2008.
Kamotors ver. 5 Carbon Fiber cold air intake kit fits 4cyl & 6cyl BMW's, designed on the BMW E30 but fits other models like the E36, E34, and E32 with little to no modification. If you car is equipped with a MAF or an AFM with a round inlet this kit will bolt on with No other pieces needed.
This kit replaces the factory airbox and bolts directly to the MAF or AFM
(for AFM E30 cars a MAF adapter is needed).(Available on this site)
The reason it gets cooler air than stock is because it has a direct 3" path to outside air, while the stock box's snorkel was positioned off to the side behind a headlight where only a small portion of cool air makes it. This was done by BMW to keep filter's cleaner longer. BMW Also designed the airbox with noise levels in mind. This kit creates a deep induction noise that will put a smile on your face every time you floor it.
I've done the testing and this kit keeps intake temps 50+degrees cooler than an unshielded cone filter setup and more 15 degrees cooler than the OEM airbox setup. This kit will fit many different BMW engines due to the fact that it doesn't require a custom shield. Filter uses a 3" inlet and outlet which lets it fit all AFM's and MAF kits for the E30, similar kits on ebay only use 2.5"-2.7" inlets which will restrict performance, don't be fooled by cheap imitations, they use a lower quality filter and will not perform as well.
Great solution for all The E30's with 24v Motor swaps like M50 or S50 that can no longer fit the stock airbox or want to upgrade. I'm a huge car enthusiast and try my best to ensure you are happy with the product.

Bought to clean up and improve the intake situation for my ‘89 325i with a Miller MAF conversion, and I couldn’t be happier. Much better looking in the engine bay than a simple K&N or other cobbled-together option, and actually noticeable results. Highly recommended, the air box itself is of very high-quality, installation isn’t bad with included hardware.

'87 e30 325is. Noticeable increased throttle response, feels great. Definite improvement in sound. Tight fit but looks great under the hood. If you got a couple extra bucks, this is a good place to spend it. Highly recommended.

this is an amazing product. designed well and made of high quality materials. a bit of a tight fit if you plan on keeping the stock cold air shield that comes with the car. the only downside i saw in the product was that the hose clamps that come with it are a little too big, so they didn't get tight enough to actually create a seal that i was happy with on the afm adapter, so i went and bought my own clamps (which isn't a big deal. $3 for 2). if you plan on using the afm adapter he sells you will have to go and buy some longer bolts for it, the stock ones are too short, you'll need 4 (size is m6x100 16) they're like $1.40 for a pack of 6 at Lowes. other than that this is an amazing product. it looks a lot cleaner in the engine bay and takes up a whole lot less space. i got an email saying it shipped the morning after i ordered it (and i ordered it at like 10pm), and i got it 2 days later (even with it being memorial day weekend). i would definitely recommend this to anyone that is looking for a cold air intake upgrade for their e30

I got this intake for my M42. I'm fully aware that there is zero power to be gained with this mod and my engine, but I'm just interested in the better sound. The only complaint I have is I think the clamps are too big, as there is some play with the hose that connects to the AFM. I gave 5 stars because it is really easy to buy some new clamps.
